The emo culture can be associated with plenty of stereotypes.
Unfortunately, many of them are bad which has led to the decline in popularity of the emo culture.

•Being overly emotional - Teenage hormones ablaze, being 'emo' gave boys the excuss to cry around their peers, a form of emotional expression for males that's typically been looked down upon throughout human history.

While some looked at this as an advantage, other outsiders saw this as a weakness.

And of course, there are a few drama kinds/queens that killed it for everyone. •Always being depressed or suicidal - This kind of ties in with being overly emotional. Emos have a pretty bad stigma for being depressed for no good reason. This is another thing that was largely brought on by over active teenage hormones and dealing with the struggles of finding a place in life. In the past several years, society has done a poor job of teaching parents how to cope with their childrens changing bodies.
A lack of understanding of the physiological and psychological changes in the human body has given a lot of emos a good reason to be depressed as their parents push pills down their throats or send them to psychiatrists in an attempt to get out of their parental duties of handling emotional changes in their children as they grow and develop from adolescence into adulthood. It also doesn't help that a lot emo kids, like many other smaller niches, tend to get bullied at school.

This has led to an uprise in teenage suicide over the years as many children and teens are unable to find a way to cope.
•Self harming - Self harming is definitely the most negative emo stereotype that has helped to cut back on the masses of people referring to themselves as emo.
Unfortunately, when the emo style first emerged, self harming seemed to be part of the trend, raising concern for parents all over the world.

While not every emo was/is a self harmer, there were enough who were that caused this horribly negative stereotype to stick.
These are the worst of the worst, but there are several other stereotypes that can be associated with the emo culture. However, the negatives above have driven many people who originally called themselves emo to shun the word and turn towards other labels.

It seems that the emo culture may well be on its way out the door.

So if the discrimant becomes negative it means that the quadratic equation does not have real roots as squares of real numbers are also perfect squares.

Let us take another example 3 * x * x + 9 * x + 6 = 0, rewriting this as x * x + 3*x + 2 = 0.

discriminant = sqrt(9-8) = 1 R1 = -1 and R2 is -2.
So the factored form of the same equation is (x + 1)( x+ 2) = 0. A quadratic equation can also be plotted on a graph. It will yield the equation of a parabola.

Everyone knows who Barbie is.
She is one of those icons that will always be around-an icon that got her start and is still most known as a toy doll. Although we see her with many different outfits, hairstyles (and colors), complexions, and accessories, when we think of Barbie I'd say that most of us see her as a tall white blonde. To me the amusing thing about it is that with as many different ways we see Barbie, she is always her tall, grossly disproportionate self with (as far as I know) the same contented smiling face on every doll.

I think I heard it once that if Barbie was a real person she would be over seven feet tall to scale.

Her arms and legs and torso are too long, and her chest is too large, and it has been said that Barbie is to blame for helping ruin girls' perceptions of how they should look and how they subsequently feel for not living up to an impossible standard.

At any rate, I don't want to get into my opinion about.
I'm not a psychologist either; I just wanted to throw that out there for background's sake. Anyway Barbie has done it all: she has ridden horses, Jeeps, Ferraris, Volkswagen Beetles, thrown pool parties, gone to Hawaii and all over the world, she's also owned numerous pets and masqueraded as some sort of Butterfly lady from time to time. She even has cousins like Thumbelina and Polly Pocket. Some may call these different toys gimmicks; some may call them classics and collectors' items.
I'd dare to day that they are all of the above! The point I'm getting at here is that Barbie sells, and she sells everything: dolls, accessories, toy cars, lunch boxes, backpacks, posters, bedspreads, clothing, makeup, books, DVD's, and (finally we come to it) video games.

I am unsure of how many console games she has sold, but she of course has online Barbie games.
Most of them are dress up or makeover Barbie games, but you can find puzzle games and other decorative games.
You can plant gardens or walk your dog through a dog show obstacle course, and although most of these games are free, you can bet that they are there to inadvertently advertise some new piece of merchandise that the makers of Barbie want you (or your child) to gaze upon.
The ironic thing about it is that even though us guys are generally disgusted by pink, girly toys, if you are a guy with an older sister or sisters (which I am and know others like me) you have at one time probably begged and pleaded to play with Barbie dolls to fit in with your older sibling. They have asked you for an estimate on how long it will take you to do that work.
Depending on the task, you may take a look at it, and let them know how long it would take you to do it. They would then expect to have the work they asked for done in the timeframe you mentioned.
Seems like a pretty straight-forward principle, right? Your boss/client/colleage may not know exactly how long a task should take, which is why they have asked you. The "under promise" part of this advice is to always specify a timeframe longer than you think it should take.

If you are given a task that you think will take you two weeks to complete, you could tell them it will take you four weeks.
They will then be expecting it in four weeks' time.
The next part - the "over deliver" - is when you complete the task in less time than you mentioned.
This could be two weeks (that you originally thought), it could be three weeks, it could even be one week.
In any case, it's less time than what you said it would take - which is what the boss/client/colleagues expectations were.

Of course, there are some limits - if someone asks you to print a document, it shouldn't take a week to perform a five minute job! Deciding on time frames, estimates and quoting is something that does take a level of knowledge and experience.
Contingency Well, as you may already know, working in any job (not just IT) can have its distractions.

Unexpected tasks come up, there may be a few different things that need to be looked at urgently, a colleague may have a few days off sick and you need to pick up their work. All this time, your boss, or whoever asked you for that original work, is expecting it in the same time.

It's all well and good to provide something early, but if you don't ensure it's of a high quality, then it defeats the purpose of this advice which is to impress others and gain trust.

Solutions to the School Lunch Box Dilemma, Plus Bonus Banana Muffin Recipe

When my first child started school just two days a week he begged to have a vegemite and cheese sandwich everyday.

That was great, until the next year when he decided he didn't like vegemite and cheese after all.

That's when the dreaded lunch box struggles began in my house.

In one of the best parenting books ever, Secrets of Feeding a Healthy Family, Ellyn Satter makes a strong case for sticking with the standard 'division of responsibility' even for lunch boxes.

That is, you (the parent) decide what and when they can eat. They (the children) decide whether and how much they eat.
The problem is my son has never been terribly interested in food and would generally rather play than eat - and since eating lunch at school takes up what would otherwise be play time, I'm already behind in the battle.
Yet I know that he will get more out of his afternoon of school - and be less grumpy when he gets home - if he eats something at lunch time.
My solution is in three parts.

First, for morning tea I bake about every three weeks or so, using my tasty yet substantial banana bread recipe, and the banana muffin recipe below.
Both of these can be frozen in portions - for the muffins I use muffin cases and freeze them in a flat plastic container that holds 12, for the banana bread I put grease proof paper between the slices.

These I then pop straight in the lunchbox still frozen, and they are perfect by morning tea time.

The great thing about these recipes is there are so many simple variations, from adding a finely chopped apple in place of one banana, plus a teaspoon of cinnamon or mixed spice, to adding half a cup of raisins or chopped nuts.
But at the same time, my kids know they are going to get one of these for morning tea every time - so there's no need for discussion or indecision.

The second part of my solution is to have a lunch box routine, with some limited variations.
Kids like routines, and again, it seems to help that they know what to expect, and that there's no point in discussing it. We now have three preferred lunches that we use over and over for Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, that tie in with leftovers from regular meals my kids like.
Now, the routine doesn't stay exactly the same through the seasons, but as long as he knows there'll be some of his favorite choices later in the week (sausage sandwiches made from left over organic lamb sausages one day and pesto pasta another day for instance) my son can tolerate cheese and vegemite occasionally, or a simple can of tuna. The third part of my solution is actually not about lunch.
It is about the afternoon. I know that my son will sometimes not finish his lunch, even when it's something he loves, because he gets distracted and wants to play, so I make sure I have a snack to feed the kids the moment they are in place in the car.
This can be as simple as a banana or an apple each, and doesn't constitute their entire afternoon snack, but it does help iron out any plunging afternoon blood sugar issues.
I have two kids in school now, and I have been using these solutions since the second one started.

So far, it seems to be working reasonably well and both kids are eating their lunch most days.
Banana Muffin Recipe Heat oven to 180C (350F) Grease 2x12 cup muffin trays, or fill with muffin cases Mix together thoroughly: 2 eggs 1 cup (250ml) milk 1/2 cup (125ml) healthy cooking oil like macadamia nut or light olive oil, or melted butter 1/4-1/2 cup caster sugar (super fine, or bakers sugar) 2 mashed bananas Add: 1 cup plain wheat flour 3/4 cup whole wheat flour 4 tsp baking powder Mix gently until all the flour is just combined.
Pour into muffin cups and bake for 18-20 minutes.
Muffins are cooked when they spring back from a light touch. Leave to cool for 2 minutes in the tray, then cool on a wire rack.
Serve warm or cool, or freeze as soon as cooled. Variations: Add 1/2 cup sultanas/raisins or chopped walnuts/pecans (not if your kid's school is nut free) Add zest of 1/2 lemon Add 1 tsp cinnamon or Substitute 1 finely chopped apple (skin on) for one banana, plus add 1-2 tsp cinnamon or mixed spice

Growing up in a broken home can be very difficult for any child.

With that type of communication there is a belief on the part of the students that there will be no repercussions as they are either justified in their position or they have paid for their classes and are owed something, such as a particular grade.
This lack of social intelligence only results in damaged relationships and never produces a positive outcome for the student.
Developing Social Intelligence There are steps any student can take to develop or further refine their social intelligence. Here are the top five methods that any online student can follow, which I have found are useful for my experience working with students.

#1. Develop Productive Communication - With an online class you are represented by the words you choose to post or send by email.

Follow the basic guidelines for communication and consider the words you choose and how the tone of your message may be received and interpreted - before you send or post it.

Remember Relationships Matter - As an online student you are not seeking to win a popularity contest or make friends with everyone.
However, you are in a learning environment and collaborating with others through your discussions. What you want to develop are productive working relationships, which means that for the duration of the course you want to interact well with them.

Interact with Respect - Everyone in your class is owed a basic level of respect.

You may not like each and every person you are required to interact with but you do have to work with them in some manner.
